The Coach Hank Raymonds Educational Center at Bridging
The Gap will be built as a multi-use facility with the idea of
personal and professional development through education in
mind. The facility bears the name of a basketball professional
that always placed education first and foremost in the lives of all
of his student athletes. And the organization was founded by
one of those student athletes, Robert Byrd, whose philosophy
is rooted in involving parents in the personal and professional
development of at-risk youths to give them the foundation to
compete in the 21st century world.
The vision and primary goal behind the Coach Hank Raymonds
Educational Center is to provide a solid foundation for at-risk
youths and community members where they are given the
resources and guidance to build responsible, successful
futures, a strong community, and strong community leaders for
today and tomorrow.
