During its tenure, Bridging The Gap was self-supporting and successful as a choice
school in the Milwaukee area. At the close of the 2006 school year, Robert Byrd decided
to discontinue running Bridging The Gap as a K-5 school and take his vision to a new
direction.
His goal is to focus on investing in Milwaukee's inner-city youths through education and
mentoring.
Bridging The Gap has always set high standards for its students and is intent on
continuing that commitment through The Hank Raymonds Educational Center.
